TRAI has questioned Airtel and Vodafone-Idea about their plans, promising to give faster speed to some preference users …
TRAI has written to both the operators – Airtel and Vodafone Idea about this and has questioned them about their plans, promising to give faster speed to some preference users. The regulator has asked whether the preference for overpaid customers in those specific plans has come at the cost of declining service to other customers. TRAI has asked the operators how they are protecting the interests of other common customers.

When contacted, an Airtel spokesperson said, “We are full of enthusiasm to provide the best network and service to all our customers.” Airtel spokesperson said that with this the company wants to increase service and accountability for postpaid customers. TRAI has given seven days time to Airtel to reply.

When asked about this, a Vodafone Idea spokesperson said, “The Vodafone RedX plan offers many benefits to our valued postpaid customers including unlimited data, calls, premium content, international roaming packs.” He said that the company is committed to providing best and high speed 4G data services to its customers.
