Aarogya Setu app, Coronavirus in India: Arogya Setu is a corona tracking app. In the First Integration between Arogya Setu App and E-Pass, Government of India, the program has also checked 10,000 travel passes with positive case data and self-assessment. The technology developer of this app told The Indian Express that this has been done to ensure that e-passes are not issued to anyone with high-risk.
In addition to this data, app developers are also working to test the utility of contact history algorithms.
In combination with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Arogya Setu data will be used for on-ground checking to assess how many people were tested by the mobile app and how many Is in the high-risk category.
If the ratio of people coming to positive tests on the app is higher than the current ratio of positive cases in the tested sample (about 4 percent), then the e-pass will not be issued to the high-risk user with the help of information. The app currently has 67.5 million users.
The app is also collecting more detailed information about possible symptoms of the user, such as degree of fever. Soon, various tele-medicine providers will also be integrated.
