Auto desk. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the updated Honda Unicorn bike with BS6 engine. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 93,593. It will get a 160cc engine. The old model had a 150cc engine. This Unicorn 150 is 13,500 rupees more expensive than ABS. The company has launched the updated unicorn in a single variant. This means that the company can discontinue the 150cc model.
At the bike’s launching event, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India President, CEO and Managing Director Minoru Kato said that the Unicorn is the first motorcycle introduced by Honda in India. The Unicorn has been in the market for the last 16 years and has a subscriber base of 2.5 million.
New Honda Unicorn Engine
This bike has a 160cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected BS6 engine. It comes with Honda Eco Technology. The company claims that the new engine will get more power and it will give 14 percent more mileage than the old model. It has a 5 speed gearbox. Please tell that the 4 speed gearbox was available in BS4 model.
Specification of Honda Unicorn
It will get 5 step adjustable rear suspension, combi braking system (CBS). The company has given alloy wheels in it. It will come in both drum and disc brake variants. The bike is 19mm longer than the older model. At the same time, 5mm more ground clearance will be available. Its seat is also 27mm longer.
The company has launched it in four color variants Black, Jenny Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic and Athletic Blue Metallic. The company offers a 6-year warranty (3-year standard warranty and 3-year extended warranty) on the bike.
