T-Mobile launches 600MHz 5G across the US, but no one can use it until December 6th

T-Mobile has hit the switch on your 5G network, setting it live in US areas. UU. which he says covers 200 million people. While the network is supposedly active today, no one will use it until later this week: the first two phones that support it will go on sale this Friday.

The 5G deployment "nationwide" is based on a slower 5G form, using the 600MHz spectrum of T-Mobile. This "low band" 5G essentially takes radio waves like the ones used for LTE and groups them with some new technology to offer faster speeds (although T-Mobile doesn't really seem to indicate anywhere what speeds should I expect people at launch)
