The Huawei Mate 30 5G and the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G finally went on sale. The devices will be on sale at 18:08 Chinese time, and will be available only in the domestic scene, which is no surprise.
The price of the Mate 30 5G will start from CNY4,999 (that’s around $ 705), while the Pro variant will start from CNY6,899 ($ 975).
Both the Mate 30 and the Mate 30 Pro have the Kirin 990 5G chipset, which has a clock speed of 2.86 GHz. The SoC is slightly different from the basic Kirin 990, which runs on the non-5G variants of the phones.
It has slightly faster CPU clusters and two large NPU cores to match the faster performance of the chipset, given the higher bandwidth speeds.
In addition to state-of-the-art connectivity capabilities, the Mate 30 5G and the Mate 30 Pro 5G also come in two additional colors: Vegan Leather Orange and Vegan Leather Forest Green, but if you don’t want them, you can always get Space Silver or Emerald Green .
Huawei will open pre-orders exactly at 18:08 Chinese time, which is 11:08 CET, but actual shipping is scheduled for November 1. The phone will obviously be launched in China without GMS, but since it is expected to appear outside of China without the services as well, those who are willing to waive the warranty might consider importing one themselves.
